Endeavor Group – the US-based media, talent agency, and events company – has renewed its plans to IPO after an earlier attempt was pulled in 2019. Elon Musk is to join the board. Endeavor was founded in 1995 as a talent agency (incorporating the William Morris company) by legendary agent Ari Emanuel. and by 2020 had achieved revenue of $3.5bn with 75% being derived from activities beyond talent through a raft of acquisitions. This revenue was 25% down on the prior year and the company’s losses increased to $624m. The company’s eclectic interests include Ultimate Fighting Championship, the IMG sports agency, Miss Universe, Professional Bull Riders, New York Fashion Week, the Frieze Art Fair, and the Miami Open.
