Colin Morrison is publisher-editor-founder of Flashes & Flames: The Global Media Weekly.
He is a former newspaper, radio and magazine journalist in London, New York and Dublin. He was subsequently CEO of media, information, events, marketing and broadcast companies in the UK, Continental Europe, and the AsiaPacifi,c including for: Axel Springer, Australian Consolidated Press, EMAP, Future, Reed Elsevier, and Hearst.
He is now an investor, director, and strategy consultant of media, technology and investment companies in the UK, Europe, US and Australia. He has been a keynote speaker at conferences in the UK, US, India, South Africa, Australia, and Portugal.
Colin started Flashes & Flames as a blog in 2011. It became a subscription newsletter in 2020. In 2022, it formed a strategic alliance with the PA Media Group, formerly the Press Association.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, and of the Industry & Parliament Trust; and a Freeman of the City of London and a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Stationers & Newspaper Makers. He has been honoured as an “Influencer” in the Folio:100, in the US, and by an OBE in the UK. He has been an adviser on education to the UK government. Email Colin
