A new investor group has been formed and has acquired Open Road Integrated Media in a deal worth between $60m and $80m. The investor group is led by David Steinberger, an experienced publishing industry exec and chair of the National Book Foundation in the US. Open Road was founded in 2009 as an e-book publisher and associated marketing company. The company now has a list of 10k e-books and uses data science to generate personalised ebook recommendations and stimulate sales for its own titles and for other e-book publishers.
