upGrad, an India-based edtech player in Asia, which has recently earmarked $250m for acquisitions, has bought KnowledgeHut for an estimated $35m.
KnowledgeHut operates internationally after being founded in 2011 by Subramanyam Reddy and offers a suite of 200 courses covering digital skills such as cybersecurity, data science and artificial intelligence. It offers a shorter course format than that typically offered by upGrad and has been used by 150k executives across 500 businesses with estimated revenues of $40m in 2022.
