Fire & Flower, a Canadian cannabis retailer backed by the owner of Circle K retail stores, is buying (via its Hifyre subsidiary) the digital assets of Wkileaf, a cannabis price comparison website used both for recreational and medicinal consumers. The price is $7.5 million.
Hifyre is aiming to enhance the data offering on its software platform. Wikileaf has a good content offer and will move towards operating as an online dispensary under its new owner. Fire & Flower intends to expand into the US as cannabis markets there open up – and then internationally.
