The Hill is for sale

The Hill, a digital title focused on events in Washington DC and generating national interest in US government news, is being touted for sale by owner Jimmy Finkelstein in news first reported by Axios. The title was particularly successful during the Trump era, in common with a many other US news sources, and may wish to capitalise on this success. The revenue is estimated at $20-25m, mostly from advertising and branded content. The Hill was founded by Finkelstein’s father in 1994 and moved from print to digital. It attracted 35m monthly visitors in April of this year (compared with 29m for competitor Politico).
