Miratech, a legal software supplier based in Texas, has bought AdvanceLaw, a benchmarking and data sharing service for corporate lawyers. AdvanceLaw relies on 300 company general counsels sharing data about law firm performance of the companies which advise them. The data covers 11k personnel across 57 countries. The market for external legal advice to general counsels is said to be worth $10bn. Terms not disclosed.
