Texas-based IXL Learning is to buy Rosetta Stone, the language learning company, from the Cambium Learning Group which had bought both Lexia Learning and Rosetta Stone late in 2020. Rosetta Stone was founded in 1992 and offers digital learning in 30 languages with consumer, business and education users. IXL has 11m users within the US across the curriculum; the company was founded in 1998 by Paul Mishkin.
