Viviendi, French owner of Canal+ and Universal Media, has acquired 10% of Lagardère, which is owned privately by Arnaud Lagardère and other shareholders, including Amber Capital. Lagardère owns Lagardère Studios, producers of Netflix show The Eddy, along with the French film distribution network and Spanish IP owner Banner. Lagardère had originally been reported as seeking a buyer for the whole company but apparently had failed to attract sufficient interest.
