UK-based global information provider RELX is buying the machine learning fraud prediction company Emailage, of Arizona, for a reported $480m. The company will be integrated into Lexis Nexis Risk Solutions, which also acquired ID Analytics, a San Diego company which assesses risk through analysis of consumer behaviour. The deals follow the acquisition of ThreatMetrix in 2018. RELX, with a market cap of £39bn, made £2.15bn in pre-tax profit in 2018 and reports shortly on 2019.
