Sports broadcaster DAZN is believed to be in talks to buy UK-based Eleven Sports, reflecting the move for streaming companies to buy more content as competition intensifies. Eleven Sports was founded in 2015 by Andrea Radrizzani, the Italian owner of Leeds United premier league football club in the UK, and makes documentaries and undertakes online marketing as well as streaming live sports TV. DAZN, owned and funded by businessman Len Blavatnik, already has some sports rights including Spain’s La Liga but the service remains loss-making. DAZN had previously considered buying BT Sport but pulled out; that service then merged with Discovery Inc.
