US audio company Sirius XM has bought podcast producers Team Coco in a deal worth $150m. Team Coco, based in Burbank, LA, are noted for the podcast” Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend” in a stable of 10 other titles. The company has a staff of 50 and claims annual downloads of 180m per year. Sirius XM has arranged a five-year talent retention deal with owner O’Brien. Sirius XM operates subscription and advertising revenue models for its audio streaming.
