Startup news website Sifted, which has been backed by the Financial Times as an early stakeholder, has raised £4m in a fundraise which values the company at £16m. The company which was founded in 2019 by FT innovation journalist John Thornhill and entrepreneur Caspar Woolley, covers early-stage startup news across Europe. There is now a team of 40 staff which the company plans to double in the coming year.
