Twitter, the utra short-form user generated content app, is acquiring Threader, a complementary app which allows users to connect Twitter threads into a longer-form article and share them. One of the founders of the Threader app, Marie Denis, has also helped Twitter to develop its subscription offer Twitter Blue which fulfils a similar function. Threader users will need to the migrate to the Twitter Blue product and Threader will close. Twitter has been acquisitive in recent months, having acquired newsletter platform Revue, Breaker and group chat app Sphere.
