Recurrent buys auto channels

Recurrent Ventures, the private equity-backed, Florida-based owner of Field & Stream, Saveur, The Drive, Popular Science, and Car Bibles, has bought Donut Media which operates online automotive channels aimed at a cross section of users, popular with young enthusiasts, and generates a claimed 80m monthly views on YouTube.

Donut Media was founded in 2015 by CEO Matt Levin (ex AwsomenessTV) with Ben Conrad and Nick Moceri. The company now has almost 6m YouTube subscribers and has raised almost $1m in funding. The three-year-old Recurrent Media has made some 20 acquisitions so far – and five in 2021.
