Chicago radio may buy daily

The owner of Chicago radio station WBEZ, Chicago Public Media, is hoping to buy the Chicago newspaper the Sun-Times. The deal would create a local non-profit and potentially provide a role model for the development of local news media. The two entities could share content across all their platforms. No deal has yet been finalised but there are hopes that it could be completed by the end of 2021.
