James Murdoch and business partner Uday Shankar are launching their Seven Island Inc special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) in an IPO and hope to raise $345m in funding. The company prospectus names south and southeast Asia as the regions of interest and media and telcos are being encouraged to partner with the new company. The two executives previously worked together to launch Star in the Indian TV market.
