Two building leads data providers in the US, Dodge Data & Analytics and The Blue Book Building & Construction Network, are to merge. Their combined resources will total over 10bn data records on projects, products, people and businesses within the construction sector. The combined entity will be branded The Dodge / Blue Book Construction Industry Database and will employ over 1,200 people serving more than 40k customers.
The two companies have long co-operated, each having a business history spanning more than a century, so a more formal merger has evolved organically. The company will be headquartered at the New Jersey base of Dodge Data. Dodge is owned by Symphony Technology Group private equity, while Blue Book is an employee-owned company.
