Univision Communications, the US based Spanish language streaming and broadcaster, has acquired Florida based VIX which streams content across the US and Latin America. VIX derives revenue from advertising and provides over 20k hours of free film and tv programming. Univision intends to combine the VIX service with its own new PrendeTV brand.
