Music TV entrepreneur Simon Cowell is taking full control of his production company Syco Entertainment, by buying out long-standing partner Sony Music Entertainment. Syco produces TV shows ‘The X Factor’ and the ‘Got Talent’ franchise which have launched the careers of numerous artists across the world. Cowell will, presumably, now have more flexibility to sign deals with other music labels. Sony will retain the music assets in the JV including the libraries from Little Mix, OneD and Leona Lewis. Terms were not disclosed.
