The Global Media Business Weekly

Shortlist for The Publisher Newsletter Awards 2026

MediaVoices is pleased to reveal the shortlist for the fourth year of The Publisher Newsletter Awards. From hundreds of entries, this shortlist of 160+ newsletters represents the very best, and we are delighted to be promoting and celebrating such fantastic work.

The winning newsletters will be decided by a line-up of 40 judges from around the world, many of whom have been judging our Awards since their inception in 2023. The winners will be revealed at an in-person celebration at HUCKSTER Paddington in London on 8th July 2026, following The Publisher Summit.

“The quality of entries this year is absolutely stunning,” said Editorial and Events Director Esther Kezia Thorpe. “Most publishers are now using their staff in some way to front newsletters, building trust and stronger relationships with readers.

“It’s also encouraging to see the extent to which publishers are using newsletters across different verticals which aren’t necessarily core to them. Newsletters allow publishers to be a one-stop shop for their readers, whether they’re interested in food, theatre or sports. There are also some really strong case studies of local and community newsletters this year, which is great to see.”

The Publisher Summit will be returning for another successful year. This year, there will be a single main stage focused on direct-to-audience product strategies, combining newsletter, app, podcast, print and event expertise and showcasing leading strategies. There will be Masterclasses alongside the main stage dedicated to specific product opportunities and challenges.

As it becomes ever more difficult to acquire audiences and revenue through search and social, building and strengthening direct audience connections will be vital to surviving and thriving as publishers.

See the Summits website for our draft agenda and tickets – currently on Early Bird offer.
