Nasdaq-listed educational publisher Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Company – which serves more than 50m students and 4m educators in 150 countries – is being acquired by Veritas Capital for an estimated value of approximately $2.8bn. Bloomberg reported that the private equity firm might merge Houghton Mifflin with its portfolio company Cambium Learning Group.
