Acquisitive Washington DC-based GovExec, the information company covering US government and institutions, has acquired Virginia-based GovTribe, another company which provides market news and data to government contractors. GovTribe is a subscription business which covers federal government contracts.
The deal is the fifth acquisition that GovExec has made since it separated from Atlantic Media early last year, supported by financial backing from Growth Capital Partners. Revenues should exceed $30m in 2021. The company initially focussed on state government business information but has more recently turned its attention to federal government contracting opportunities and aims to improve information flows between contractors and government.
GovTribe was founded in 2012 by Nate Nash and Jay Hariani.
