iHeart Media, the major US radio company with over $6bn in revenue, is to acquire Washington DC radio station WUST 1120AM for $1.2 million. The deal consolidates iHeart’s presence in the region where it already has five radio brands. The company was restructured earlier this year after emerging from bankruptcy in 2019.
