The Global Media Business Weekly

Publisher Podcast Awards shortlist

MediaVoices has revealed the shortlist for the seventh year of The Publisher Podcast Awards. From hundreds of entries, this shortlist of 130+ shows represents the very best in publisher podcasts, and we are delighted to be promoting and celebrating such fantastic shows.

The winning podcasts will be decided by a line-up of 40 judges from around the world, many of whom have been judging the Awards since their inception in 2020. The winners will be revealed at an in-person celebration at HUCKSTER Paddington, in London, on 8 July 2026, following The MediaVoices Publisher Summit.

“It’s been fascinating once again seeing how strategy is shifting around publisher podcasts,” said Editorial and Events Director Esther Kezia Thorpe. “We’re seeing organizations leaning in hard to podcasts as a high-engagement medium, with deep dives, investigations and limited series some of our most popular categories this year. The evolving conversation around video is also interesting. We’ve had some excellent entries to our video category for anyone looking for their next watch, but the majority of publishers are still very strongly audio-first, and are seeing success focusing on podcasts as a medium which is primarily listened to.”

The MediaVoices Publisher Summit is returning for another successful year. This year, there will be a single main stage focused on direct-to-audience product strategies, combining newsletter, app, podcast, print and event expertise and showcasing leading strategies. There will be Masterclasses alongside the main stage dedicated to specific product opportunities and challenges.

As it becomes ever more difficult to acquire audiences and revenue through search and social, building and strengthening direct audience connections will be vital to surviving and thriving as publishers.

See the Summits website for our draft agenda and tickets – currently on EarlyBird offer.
