Modern Luxury buys Glocally

US publisher Modern Luxury Media has bought Glocally, a social media specialist. Glocally was founded in 2016 and uses influencers and local content makers to influence brand strategy. Modern Luxury Media operates over 60 magazine and digital brands in the US with an affluent audience of 15m with titles including Hampton’s Magazine and Aspen Magazine and a recent launch EDITION in partnership with Jay Z aimed at luxury in more diverse communities.

The new deal should enable the company to run hyperlocal content for the brands that use them to reach the luxury goods market and deepen engagement with their audience. Modern Luxury expects to make further acquisitions to execute its strategy of improved digital capability.
