Equal Ent. buys Pride Media

Equal Entertainment, of the US, has bought Pride Media, the publisher of, and Out Traveller. The company will be rebranded as Equal Pride and will focus on its target markets of LGBTQ+ people along with women and people of colour. The company will be run by Mark Berryhill and Michael Kelley, with track records in media via Hulu and Meredith. Pride Media had been acquired by Orevea, a Los Angeles-based investment firm, with subsequent controversies involving executive departures, political donations and allegations of non-payment to contributors.
