Cirium, an aviation data and consulting company based in London and part of RELX, is to buy travel tech startup Migacore, which applies machine learning to help predict passenger demand for airlines.
Migacore has successfully trialled the tech with major airlines such as Singapore and Lufthansa and now seeks to scale the company using Cirium’s resources and reach. Changing travel patterns as a result of the pandemic have given new urgency to these tools because historic data is no longer a reliable guide to future demand.
