Automattic, owner of WordPress, SimpleNote and Tumblr, is acquiring content analytics company Parse.ly through its WordPress subsidiary. Parse.ly serves digital publishers and corporate content providers such as Salesforce (an Automattic investor) and Facebook. The two companies will remain separate. Parse.ly was founded in 2009 and has raised $14m in funding. Terms not disclosed.
