Haymarket buys India e-com

UK based, family-owned Haymarket Media Group has acquired a stake in India based e-commerce and content management company TMotions Global. The companies have worked together on the digital development of Haymarket. It has more than 50 brands principally in B2B media markets, including: Campaign, MIMS, Asian Investor, PRI Healthcare Solutions, and PR Week. It was formerly also a leading B2C magazine publisher in the UK and still publishes What Car? and Autocar.

In 2020, the Haymarket Group had revenue of £142.9m (2019: £161.6m) and adjusted EBITDA of £8.3m (£9.1m). Significantly, in view of historic debt pressures, the company finished the year with net cash of £24.8m (£10.3m), which was boosted by the sale of its Secure Computing assets for £12.5m – 2 x revenue or 7 x profit. Haymarket revenue is derived 45% from each of the UK and US, and is 25% from print. The company employs 1,200 people.
