Pocket Outdoor buys mags

Pocket Outdoor Media (POM), of Colorado, US, has acquired the Healthy Living, Outdoor and Fitness divisions of Active Interest Media (AIM) which include the magazine brands Vegetarian Times, Ski and Yoga Journal. POM has secured funding from Jazz Venture Partners, of San Francisco, which specialises in tech and neuroscience investment. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. 

POM claims to be the world’s leading producer of running, cycling, and triathlon content. Across print and digital, it engages with “over 15m of the most active and influential consumers in the world every month”. Its brands include: Ski, Backpacker, VeloNews, Climbing, Women’s Running (US), Triathlete, Better Nutrition, Bicycle Retailer & Industry News, Clean Eating, IDEA Health and Fitness Association, Muscle & Performance, Nastar, National Park Trips, NatuRx, Oxygen, PodiumRunner, Roll Massif, and SNEWS.
