RB buys GraphicAudio

RBmedia, the world’s largest producer of audiobooks, has acquired GraphicAudio, a division of Cutting Corp., for an undisclosed price. Founded in 2004, GraphicAudio produces dramatized audio content featuring a full cast of actors, sound effects, and cinematic music. The purchase marks RB’s entry into the audio dramatizations market.

GraphicAudio’s catalogue has more than 1,300 titles across 150 series that focus principally on action/adventure, comics, science fiction/fantasy, and westerns. GraphicAudio has also produced titles in partnership with brands such as Marvel, DC Comics, Dynamite, and Vault Comics.

RBMedia, which is owned by KKR private equity, has more than 40k exclusive audiobook titles including works by leading authors. Its platform delivers some 700k digital media titles across Apple, Amazon, Google and Android devices. Its worldwide audience is also served by more than 5,000 library partners.
