Informa boosts Tech Week

Informa Plc, the B2B publisher and exhibitions organiser, has taken a minority stake in Founders Forum (FF), the London-based network for tech entrepreneurs and investors, in order to expand its London Tech Week.

FF brings together “the best, brightest and most inspirational digital entrepreneurs, corporate CEOs and senior investors who engage in open debate, brainstorming, discussion and problem solving at our invite-only forums across the world”.

It was established in 2006 by Brett Hoberman, founder of lastminute. com, and investment banker Jonathan Goodwin. Its site website lists sometime attendees including Arianna Huffington, Richard Branson, and Eric Schmidt, and funding partners including HSBC, Sky, British Airways and NetJets.

Informa’s 2019 London Tech Week claimed 58,000 attendees from more than 95 countries, visiting over 300 events, and 1,000 speakers. From 2020, it will incorporate FF events including accelerateHER and Founders of the Future.
