Endeavour buys Informa brands

Endeavour Business Media, of Tennessee, has acquired, from Informa Plc, a portfolio of 23 B2B brands and seven events in industry, automotive and infrastructure, including: Machine Design, Industry Week, American Trucker and Aftermarket Business World.

Endeavour Business Media was founded in 2017 by CEO Chris Ferrell and is based in Nashville. Earlier this year, it doubled in size with the acquisition of events from Clarion and now adds a further 50% to staff numbers with the latest transaction. Total headcount will be 600 across 80 titles and 60 events in 16 B2B sectors.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Informa sources suggested that the titles had revenues of $64m. The deal was funded mostly by Endeavour’s private equity backers Resolute Capital Partners.
