The privately-owned, 123-year-old Paxton Media Group, of Paducah, Kentucky, has acquired four local newspapers based in Arkansas to add to its stable of 32 newspapers (total circulation: 350k) and a TV station which predominantly cover the southern US. The newly-acquired titles include daily The Log Cabin Democrat along with three local weekly titles.
